Do you remember that Barenaked Ladies song “If I Had a Million Dollars“? It used to be one of my favorite songs, just for the sheer ridiculousness of it. Often times when I am fantasizing about all the things I want to buy online it pops into my head and makes me smile. So I reached into my inner Barenaked Lady (heyo!) and came up with my “If I Had a Million Dollars” summer wishlist. If I had a million dollars I’d buy you a…

Summer is in full swing! Is your house ready for it? Living in a small space, our house gets cluttered on a daily basis. My husband always tells us, whatever we bring in, we need to bring the same amount out to eliminate extra clutter, mess and general stuff piling up. It can be difficult living in under 1000 square feet with 4 people, but we make it work, and with a few of our tips you can too!Continue Reading
It’s only been a few days since the official start of summer, but I already feel like it’s been in full swing for months. That’s one of the down sides of living in Southern California, I feel like summer is literally endless. Sure we get a break for like 2 months for “winter” but it’s not enough. So, since it’s another year come and gone, I had to bop into Target real quick and grab us a few of our summer essentials. I know how much you guys love peeking into our shopping bags to see what we’re grabbing, so here you go, my Summer on the Run Target Haul!Continue Reading
Last weekend was my nephews birthday party. They turned 4 and 6. It’s INSANE how time flies! My sister-in-law asked me to make a potato salad to bring as a side dish, and knowing me, I couldn’t just go and get a tub of it at the store. I had to do it up from scratch. I wanted to make something bright, and fresh and green with lots of flavor and a light feel. I am not a huge fan of mayo, and so really heavy mayo laden potato salads gross me out. It’s hard for me to get past the mayo consistency, so I make a creamy, but much lighter dish. And then I add bacon, because bacon.Continue Reading
Many thanks to Huggies for sponsoring today’s post, and inspiring me to stay stylish on the go!
Summer has taken the wind out of my sails. It’s only the beginning of July, but we’ve already been so busy I can’t keep up. Thank goodness we’re potty trained, or else we’d be up a creek adding that to our plate.
So far this summer we’ve been to the fair 4 times (that’s right, FOUR) seen 2 concerts, have tackled the problem of pool safety with swim lessons every Monday afternoon, and have had numerous family BBQ’s and parties.Continue Reading
Last Friday was Audrey’s last day of school. This means a variety of things, but mostly that my life is going to go from “Busy!” to “OMG INSANELY BUSY!” My kids don’t understand the whole “work from home” thing. They figure if I am home that means I am free to entertain them 24/7 by taking them to the fair, the park, swimming, movies, you name it. Sadly, I have yet to find a way to be a single income family and still keep a roof over our head. I’m working on it! So when my life gets so insane that I am running ragged, I need a way to refuel on the go.
Lately I have been OBSESSED with Cricut’s Iron On Glitter Vinyl! I used it a few weeks ago to fix a shirt my husband ruined, and I have been in love with how easy and fun it is ever since! Who knew that $15 could bring so much joy and updated fashion to my wardrobe? Anyway, this week I have a fun little summer update for anything you might have laying around that needs a quick pick-me-up! A DIY Nautical Anchor Tank Top! I had a neon striped tank laying around, so I went with a nautical theme, but honestly you could use whatever you wanted, however you wanted!Continue Reading
A few weeks ago, I posted about the new Summer stuff coming to Dollar Tree and I mentioned their Flip Flop craft contest.
I decided to enter, and being that I am not one for the normal, easy stuff, decided to make a Flip Flop Wreath!
I love my Spring Wreath that’s been on my front door, but it’s almost Summer, so I decided I needed a refresh!
This wreath is so easy and literally cost me $7.Continue Reading
