Every October we make a visit to the pumpkin patch. Here in San Diego, we have a lot of options for pumpkin patches, ranging from a pop up patch in a mall parking lot, to real homegrown patches out in the country. I like to keep our pumpkin patch trips a little more “real” so we try to avoid the parking lot setups in favor of sticking to the country. We usually visit 2 different patches each year, Oma’s Pumpkin Patch in Lakeside, and Bate’s Nut Farm in Valley Center. Check out our trips to some of our San Diego Pumpkin Patches from this past week!Continue Reading
Living in San Diego, we get to experience a lot of really cool events, like the one going on this weekend – The 48 Hour Film Festival Best of Screening and Awards Gala! I am so excited because my good friend Robyn is one of the producers and I can’t wait to see all her hard work pay off!Continue Reading

One of my biggest grievances with taking my kids out to eat is wasting money on their meals. They beg for something, take 2 bites and declare they are full and I am stuck with a huge bill and kids that are hungry 10 minutes later. If this happens to you too, I have a great deal for you guys – whether you live in town, or are planning visit this summer with kids!Continue Reading
Last Friday we went to LEGOLAND California for the first time! You can read all about that trip and see all our photos here. It was so fun – the kids had an absolute BLAST! Abbey was so excited and had been talking about the BRAND NEW LEGO Friends Heartlake City area. Abbey is a HUGE LEGO Friends fan and her little eyes lit up when we got there! It’s so rewarding to see pure joy just pour out of your child! It makes everything you do for them so worth it!Continue Reading
This past weekend we had an amazing opportunity to get to go to LEGOLAND California for the day. I had only ever been once before, for about 2 hours – I used to date someone who worked in the park and he invited me for lunch and a tour of his offices. I wandered around for an hour or so in Miniland USA before I felt awkward without any children, and I went home. Now that I have kids of my own, I was excited to go back and do it for real this time. Spoiler Alert? LEGOLAND is HUGE!Continue Reading
We’re Diamond Members of the San Diego Zoo, and it’s worth every penny in my opinion because my kids love it, and we go all the time. The other night we took our friends Amanda and her adorable daughter (and Abbey’s BFF) Lainie with us for some nighttime Zoo fun at this summers Shake Rattle and Roar! It’s open until September 7th, so if you get a chance, make sure you go and check out how much fun the Zoo can be at night!
This post isn’t sponsored, we just love the zoo!
So for the entire week, I’ve been working out of a Starbucks down the street from Jibe Studios while the girls attend Dance Camp from 9-12. I have to admit that it’s a really fantastic break for me, being able to enjoy the AC, free WiFi and Venti Iced Quad Caramel Macchiato, but it’s been an even better time for them.Continue Reading

I participated in an Influencer Activation for State Farm Neighborhood Assist. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
As a parent, I am always concerned with creating and contributing to a world that will be a beautiful place for my children to grow up in. Charity has always been a strong theme in my life, and I always try and teach my children how important it is to give back to those less fortunate. In my years of giving back, I’ve done charity events with Tony Hawk’s foundation, worked with local churches, and donated many many hours of my time to help those who need it. I don’t have a ton of awesome skills, but what I can do, I love to use to give back with.Continue Reading
