Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I’ve been waxing poetic lately on all things beauty. I swear this isn’t turning into a beauty blog!
With so many years in the industry under my belt, I have used a lot of products, and I love to share them with you guys. I figure the more options you have, the higher the likelihood that you’re going to find something that works for you.
I’ve been talking a lot lately about oils and how much I love them, but I want to switch gears for a bit and talk to you about restorative products, specifically eye cream. I have been using Bioque Eye Restore for about a month now, twice a day, once in the morning before I apply my makeup, and once again at nighttime before bed and the results have been awesome.Continue Reading

I get asked all the time “How do you always get so much “free stuff”?”
I put the “free stuff” in quotes, because let’s face it, nothing is ever totally free, right? Even in the cases of me getting things sent to me in the mail to try, it isn’t or wasn’t totally free. I still have to put my time and energy into trying it, reviewing it on my blog, and sharing it via my Social Media Networks.
Not all of these companies require you have a blog, but the deeper you get into Word of Mouth Advertising and Sponsored Content, the more you will need, to be accepted. It’s always good to have some bit of Social Media backing behind you if you expect companies to “give” you things.
Below I’ve put into different categories each of the companies I have worked with in the past and also currently work with, a brief description of what it is and what is required, from least amount of work, to most. Some sign up links include my special referral signup code which gives me a commission so I can feed my family extra bacon on Sunday mornings (they really love bacon, guys). You aren’t required to sign up under me, but I would appreciate it.
I love makeup. I own a lot. Probably more than I should and definitely more than my husband knows about.
A lot of it is for work, but there is a good portion in my collection of just “had to have it” stuff.
Sometimes you have to have a lipstick, only to buy it and not really like it.
What to do….
Spring is almost here, and in every makeup display I’m seeing some similar themes. NUDES!
I love nude tones! I am seeing all sorts of gorgeous peaches, corals, roses and gold toned nudes with hints of baby pastels! Hallelujah! I’m so over dark, winter, bold gem hues. I’m ready for the spring awakening!
All my life, I have wanted to own a piece of Le Crueset cookware. It’s one of my dreams, but I would never dare pay the price tag, for fear of living in guilt for the rest of my days. Luckily, for my wedding I got a few of them, and oh my goodness, they are fantastic and beautiful and lovely and gorgeous. I use it all the time. At least twice a week.
One of the best parts of cooking with enameled cast iron cookware is it helps brown and caramelize food like nobody’s business… the bad part is that stuff can burn and burn and BURN…. and then you’re stuck with nasty gross stains and black gunk that scrapes off into your food. It’s a pain in the butt to get off, but it’s even worse to look at.
