In honor of Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out coming out this week, I wanted to finally get around to sharing the Inside Out party we had for Abbey’s 4th birthday, this past September. I know, I know, it’s already November! But I’ve been so swamped with real life that sometimes my digital life sometimes gets forgotten about. Forgive me?Continue Reading
One of Abbey’s best friends turned 5 last month and we celebrated at the dance studio with a little mini dance party. It was a total blast. I made sure to grab my camera to not only have photos to give to her mom, but also I wanted to share them with you guys! This is just another reason why I love Jibe Studios!Continue Reading

Can I just pause for a second and tell you that I can’t even pretend food is just for sustenance. Food is so much more to me and as much as I hate what the term has become, I totally identify as “a foodie”. Food is a journey, a destination, and an experience. I love the salty with the sweet, the hot with the cool and creamy, the indulgent and the simplistic. I love to try new things, and new pairings and expand my umami so to speak. I’ve often talked to so many people about my intense love for Fried Chicken and Waffles and gotten looks of disgust and complete and utter confusion, but to me, any breakfast food, any time, sounds like a party.Continue Reading
National Mom’s Night Out was May 7th – YES! It’s really a thing! Why didn’t you know about it sooner?! Even if you missed it this year, there is never a bad time to host your own little Mom’s Night Out Party! We, as moms, are often on the go, helping everyone else, doing so much for so many others that we forget to stop and enjoy ourselves, guilt free! That’s why creating a night to just hang out with the gals is so fun and so important!Continue Reading
How to Host the Perfect Brunch for Mom this Mother’s Day
Make this year’s Mother’s Day a special one and go all out for mom! If you normally keep things casual, make this the year you throw a big event. If you normally throw a party, shake things up by taking Mom on a vacation or trip, just the two of you or with other kids or grandkids.
Whether you’ll be at home or out of town with mom this year, brunch has become a standard for Mother’s Day. If you are going to host mom or throw a party for her, a brunch party is a great idea for big get-togethers and small family celebrations alike.Continue Reading

Oh lordy lordy. I have been wanting to make some Saltine Bark for so long. I’ve seen it all over Pinterest and I have been dying to try it. And you know what? It’s super easy to make and it really is like snack crack, because OMG get it out of my house! So I took it to the salon, because we just moved and we needed a little “Pre Grand Re-Opening” party, just for us, you know? And that
crack Salted Toffee Saltine Bark with Pistachio and Cranberries? It was GONE in an hour. AN HOUR! That’s a true testament to how good it is! And then everyone wanted the recipe and I told them they had to wait until Wednesday.Continue Reading
So my little sister is due with her first child (a boy!) any day now… she’s about ready to pop! When we found out she was pregnant, I knew I wanted to help throw her a shower, and my first though was “Mermaids” because we love mermaid parties! But her boyfriend put the kibosh on that idea pretty quick once we found out it wasn’t going to be a girl. Oh well. The next best thing was clearly a Nautical baby shower! Ahoy!Continue Reading
So if you were following along with me on Instagram or Twitter during the Super Bowl, you probably noticed a lot of food pics throughout the game. I was full on live sharing our food via social media because, blogger. It’s part of my life and even though my husband thinks it’s sort of ridiculous, he’s gotten mostly used to it. I didn’t have HUGE plans to share all the recipes, but I got SO MANY likes and comments and questions from so many people that I decided, why not?
Sometimes I apply to work with House Party, an awesome company that partners with brands to give you the opportunity to host big amazing parties! Sometimes I am lucky enough to actually get picked to host a House Party!
Recently, I teamed up with House Party and NERF to host a NERF Rebelle Training Day for my girls and we got to run around in a park pretending to be Katniss Everdeen all day!
It was as awesome as it sounds.
We went shopping yesterday for craft fair supplies, have I mentioned I’m doing a craft fair at the end of May? Well I am! AND! I’m finally gonna fill up and open my Etsy store! Yay!
So we were shopping for findings and baubles, and we accidentally walked into the mask section. I am not a fan of the mask section because it creeps me out and my kids always want everything, but there we were. And of course Abbey sees a mask, and HAS to have it and before she can throw a super sized tantrum, I give her the cheapest one I can find. $1.49. Done.
