So you read our post about Disneyland at Halloween, and you saw that adorable handmade Tinkerbell costume that Abbey wore all night, and maybe you’re wondering where I got her shoes, and how I got them to be functional AND adorable. Well I’m going to tell you, because I love you! And this wouldn’t be much of a blog if I kept those DIY secrets to myself, right?Continue Reading
In honor of Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out coming out this week, I wanted to finally get around to sharing the Inside Out party we had for Abbey’s 4th birthday, this past September. I know, I know, it’s already November! But I’ve been so swamped with real life that sometimes my digital life sometimes gets forgotten about. Forgive me?Continue Reading
After sharing about the Talk Read Sing Campaign and our little Apple Picking Trip earlier in the week, I feel like this week is all about Abbey! I hope you don’t mind seeing her cute little face pop up on your feed, because I can’t get enough of it!
So we’re smack dab in the midst of fall (unless you ask Southern California, because we can’t seem to be able to let go of summer…) and regardless of the weather, we have been dressing the part for fall. It’s boot season! It’s time to wear leggings and dress in layers.Continue Reading
I have a 4 year old. A very rambunctious, elated and energetic 4 year old. And she’s smart. Like really smart. The words and thoughts and ideas that come out of her on a daily basis astounds me. But this post isn’t meant to brag about my 4 year old’s accomplishments (though, *pat pat*). This post is meant to share the wonderful journey I have had for the past 4 years, learning how to be a parent and how to raise a awesome kid.Continue Reading
We were given a pair of Ikiki Chairman Meow shoes to facilitate our review. All opinions are our own.
Have you seen these shoes? They are seriously the cutest things on the planet! Meet the Ikiki Chairman Meow Squeaky Shoes – a soft, breathable, adorably cute shoe from a shoe company with a mission to help kids walk better. These little guys have been on heavy rotation when it comes time to put shoes on – and what was once a tiresome chore is now a fun task. I’ve never seen my kid put shoes on so fast!Continue Reading
This post is sponsored by Oggi’s Pizza Liberty Station. All opinions and love for delicious food is mine.
One of my biggest grievances with taking my kids out to eat is wasting money on their meals. They beg for something, take 2 bites and declare they are full and I am stuck with a huge bill and kids that are hungry 10 minutes later. If this happens to you too, I have a great deal for you guys – whether you live in town, or are planning visit this summer with kids!Continue Reading
We’re Diamond Members of the San Diego Zoo, and it’s worth every penny in my opinion because my kids love it, and we go all the time. The other night we took our friends Amanda and her adorable daughter (and Abbey’s BFF) Lainie with us for some nighttime Zoo fun at this summers Shake Rattle and Roar! It’s open until September 7th, so if you get a chance, make sure you go and check out how much fun the Zoo can be at night!
This post isn’t sponsored, we just love the zoo!
So for the entire week, I’ve been working out of a Starbucks down the street from Jibe Studios while the girls attend Dance Camp from 9-12. I have to admit that it’s a really fantastic break for me, being able to enjoy the AC, free WiFi and Venti Iced Quad Caramel Macchiato, but it’s been an even better time for them.Continue Reading
#ad Disclosure: This post is part of a campaign for The Girl Scout Programs Together Counts and Healthy Habits/Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital that I am participating in for Mom It Forward Blogger Network. #healthyhabits
As a kid, I was a Girl Scout and it was one of the most rewarding things I could have done as a kid. I learned so many life skills, forged the basis of life long habits and learned what it was to pay it forward. So naturally, as soon as she is old enough, I will be signing Abbey up to be a Daisy and if I know myself like I think I do, I might be right there with her as her Troop Leader.
Besides camping skills, an appreciation for nature and the world around me, and learning the valuable act of community services, Girl Scouts taught me about being active and leading a healthy life.Continue Reading
