So I’ve had this issue lately with my nose. It’s really sort of horrible and embarrassing, but today at a family function, my cousin who works in a derm office asked “What did you do to your nose??!” in a way that makes you stammer with “Uhh.. um.. I dunno… it’s uh… weird?”
It started back around the time that my dad got sick, and it’s just gotten worse. Back then I assumed it was the heat in summer causing it to break out randomly (mind you, I’ve ONLY been breaking out ON MY NOSE… nowhere else.) Maybe my nose was oilier than normal? Maybe the weather was causing it to go funky haywire?
But after the summer passed, and we came into fall, my nose was still wonky.
Harsh winter weather makes me hate my skin. OK maybe “hate” is too harsh a word…
Now I know, I know, I am in San Diego, I have no room to complain about “Winter Weather” but seriously, we have some harsh conditions around here. High winds, unusually odd weather trends, warm, cool. wet, dry, freezing, hot, repeat. Ever heard of “Santa Ana Winds”? Look it up! It WRECKS my skin, and wreaks havoc on my hair too, but that’s another story.
