Seriously y’all! It’s been crrrraaazzzy around here this holiday season! I feel like every year I have it in the bag, and yet every year Christmas sneaks up on me. You know all about how I am a DIY Christmas type of person, and even with heeding my own advice, I’m backlogged on my holiday goals. I’ve barely even remembered to move the Elf on the Shelf, let’s just say this year “Elfie” has been really tired and napping a lot.I’ve attended so many holiday parties, and events already so far, so a lot of my big ideas have been pushed aside. I’ve spent most nights this week binging episode of TV shows and making homemade Christmas ornaments. Being a blogger is hard work.
But, I am trudging on and making some adorable little DIY gifts this year. I am a HUGE fan of giving holiday decor for gifts, especially for those who “have everything” because it’s a great way to create lasting memories, you’ll always think back fondly each year when putting your decor out!
Our house is filled with DIY holiday decor because my family always does a homemade Christmas Gift exchange each year. This year I will be bringing these adorable DIY waterless Snow Globes that were inspired by the ones at Anthropologie. I love doing more affordable versions of expensive Anthro stuff!
And seriously? These are sooooooo easy to make! So they are perfect last minute gifts!
Supplies:
- Bottle Brush Trees (I found mine at Hobby Lobby, Walmart and Joann’s)
- Mason Jars of various sizes
- Buffalo Snow Flakes ( I used iridescent colored for sparkle)
- E-6000 glue
- Mini wintery figurines (optional)
Remove the lid and rings from the mason jars. Using E-6000, glue the trees and figurines to the lids and let dry completely. Add a few teaspoons of Buffalo snow to the jar and replace the lid and ring and screw tight. Turn over and shake lightly. Add a ribbon or twine and gift to someone special!
Comments equal love!
