This post is sponsored by Target. My shopping addiction at the store is my own.
I’ve decided it’s time to start enjoying each day and stop sweating the small stuff. I know I shouldn’t complain about living in San Diego, but it’s been so hot lately! We’ve been trying everything we can to keep cool and yesterday decided to stop into Target for a quick shopping trip for some essentials to keep us cool for the remaining months left. Our hottest month is September, so we’ve got quite a bit more of this until things start to finally cool off.
Check out my most recent Target haul!
1. A Sun Hat!
We already stocked up on sunscreen in last months haul, so this month I grabbed this adorable striped sun hat to keep my face out of the sun! It matches my kimono I grabbed last month perfectly, and it looks adorable with my new vintage inspired swimsuit too. I’ll be spending a few more days by the pool now.
2. Overalls for Abbey!
These are just to die for! Cherokee makes such good quality, affordable clothes for kids – we own a lot of it! Hello hand-me-downs! But these little things were just too cute to pass up. They make my life easier because they can double up as a swim coverup or a little outing outfit for the little one. Plus they keep her cooler than regular jeans, but are just as tough (and way more trendy!).
3. Ice Cream!
Oh lordy! Once I saw these Target Exclusive flavors from Ben & Jerry’s I had to stock up! We’re big fans of Ice Cream Sandwiches around here, so I know what we will be doing with these new yummy flavors! I think I am most excited about the Brewed to Matter flavor – coffee ice cream and brownie batter swirl? YES PLEASE!
4. Household Essentials!
I know, it’s boring… but we really really needed trash bags and new toothbrushes. Bloggers! They’re just like us! I always grab a big pack so I don’t have to worry about buying them all the time. Less time spent in the store and more time spent enjoying the day with my kids. I also grabbed these Target Exclusive Olly Restful Sleep supplements because you already know how much I LOVE Olly, and hopefully these will help me relax a bit at night. No sweating the small stuff, right?
5. Ice Cold Lemonade!
Nothing like keeping the family cool like some lemonade! Simply Lemonade is my absolute favorite (besides fresh squeezed), and I’ve tried A LOT of lemonade in my lifetime. Top a mason jar with some fresh lemon slices, or even some berries, and you’ve got an easy way to relax on a hot day with minimal effort.
