I participated in a In-Home Party Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Weight Watchers Sweet Baked Goods. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
I am addicted to sugar. There, I said it. I love sweets! Cakes, pies, brownies, ice cream, anything I can get my hands on. I love to live by the motto “Life is short, eat dessert first.”. There is ALWAYS room for dessert. Always. Sadly, it has come to my attention that maybe sweets aren’t the best thing for you and should be eaten in moderation (what’s “moderation”!?) and because of that fact I have to make better choices when it comes to indulgence. So when Weight Watchers Sweet Baked Goods asked me if I wanted to try their BRAND NEW Salted Caramel Brownie Bliss bites and have a tasting party to see if my friends could tell the difference, I was intrigued and said yes!
We are always having BBQ’s and get togethers over at my mom’s house with huge spreads of food – snacks, treats, desserts etc… So I snuck in a plate of unwrapped Salted Caramel Brownie Bliss bites and asked people to try and guess what brand made them. Some people thought I made them! Aye… I’ve created monsters.
Peoples reactions to them were all different! It was pretty interesting to see what people guessed – big fancy name brand chocolate companies! After everyone had gone back for seconds, I finally let them know they were Weight Watchers Sweet Baked Goods brand. Looks of disbelief and shock were had by everyone. NO ONE guessed these only had 90 calories and 2 points per square! I loved them because I could indulge and not worry about triggering my no gallbladder situation.
By the end of the party the entire plate was empty and people were asking if I had any more! We had a good 25 people over there and the men were devouring them as much as the women were! Even the kids were sneaking some in! They were a HUGE hit, and no one complained of them tasting “diet” or “artificial”. In fact most were commenting on how rich and delicious they were and how they were very decadent for how small the bite was.
Most people commented on how the thin layer of caramel and the chocolaty coating was a nice touch and added to the “sinful feeling” of having sweets, but that it was great they weren’t nearly as guilty as the “real thing”.
Weight Watchers Sweet Baked Goods come in a variety of flavors; Triple Chocolate Brownie Bliss, Mint Chocolate Brownie Bliss, Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss, Chocolate Crème Cake, Lemon Crème Cake, Red Velvet Crème Cake, Carrot Crème Cake, Chocolate Brownie, Coffee Cake and even Cookies!
