National Mom’s Night Out was May 7th – YES! It’s really a thing! Why didn’t you know about it sooner?! Even if you missed it this year, there is never a bad time to host your own little Mom’s Night Out Party! We, as moms, are often on the go, helping everyone else, doing so much for so many others that we forget to stop and enjoy ourselves, guilt free! That’s why creating a night to just hang out with the gals is so fun and so important!
You can host it at home, at a bar, or coffee shop, just anywhere where you can “get away” and enjoy yourself! Have dad take the kids to the movies and dinner and let you enjoy some time with the gals!
We chose to have a fun afternoon out at a local restaurant here in San Diego – Hacienda Casa Blanca – and enjoyed some margaritas, appetizers and delicious Mexican Food with a bunch of mama friends, including my own mom! If you’re ever in town, check out their Queso Fundido! To die for!
I was chosen as an Official Mom’s Night Out Party Ambassador – meaning I got to create a lot of great swag bags, filled with tons of goodies from the Mom’s Night Out sponsors! A HUGE thank you Entenmann’s Little Bites, HP MyPrintly, and Bicycle Cards! The ladies loved getting little gifts for themselves “just because”! It was fun to be able to share everything with them!
If you’re rather have a small get together at home, read on – I’ve got some cute tips and an easy set up to make everything really easy and stress free, so you can enjoy your night with the gals!
Setting up a party station shouldn’t be stressful or confusing! Use a big bright table cloth and cover a small table, or some TV trays!
Load up your table with lots of bite sized snacks, chips, crackers, cookies, treats. These Little Bites by Entenmann’s make great bite sized party snacks! Don’t forget the wine or cocktails!
Use fun shaped bowls and plates to create a visually appealing tablescape.
Feel free to have the movie Mom’s Night Out playing in the background! Another fun thing to do is decorate some wine glasses with puffy paint! Everyone can create one and take one home at the end of the night!
And of course, if you ca muster the energy, swag bags are always fun to hand out to guests! Ours were loaded with candies, treats, playing cards, and some photo paper from MyPrintly and HP!

I was chosen as a National Mom’s Night Out official party host, and given sweet swag as compensation, but all opinions are 100% mine.
