OK OK OK, so I know that I usually post my Current Obsessions on Sundays – but yesterday was just too crazy busy to get anything extra done in time to post. I helped host a baby shower for one of my best friends and this weekend was all about getting that done and handled. So today it is. Right now, I am super obsessed with eyebrows. Maintaining them, shaping them, and making sure they don’t look ridiculous. Below are some of my favorite brow products in my giant arsenal of brow products. I have a few for different levels of ability and some in different price points, so you should be able to find something that works perfectly for you!
We will start with my absolute favorite product ever – this pencil is my go to for literally every eyebrow I do when I do a full face. I love that it’s thin – like really really skinny – it helps mimic brow hair! It goes on super smooth and easy and creates a beautiful line. It also blends out wonderfully with the attached spoolie on the other end. It’s pretty much the best brow pencil I have EVER USED. Period. Hands down. And it comes in 9 colors, so you will be able to find your perfect color, no problem. I use Soft Brown.
Eyeko Brow Gel – $24
For those of you out there with very light brows, this sheer eyebrow tint is a Godsend. It’s super easy to use, think mascara for your brows. It helps darken and set them with an effortless swipe. Having brows was never so easy.
Precisio Tweezers by Crave Naturals – $24.99
My favorite tweezers currently. I used to really love Tweezerman, but these just feel better in my hands. They are made really well, and also grip hairs excellently, so they come out, virtually pain free the first time. Nothing worse than cheap tweezers that don’t connect and can’t grip a hair. One of my biggest beauty pet peeves! These tweezers alleviate those feelings.
I did a full review of this product in the past, but let me say again, how cool the Brow Tint and Lift is. It’s flake proof, smudge proof and paraben free – it’s tinted and the color is really flattering – it comes in blonde, brunette or raven. I wear brunette, and it’s light, but not too light. It just enhances my brows and gives me an easy daily look without a ton of effort.
Gimme Brow by Benefit – $24
When I first got back into makeup a few years ago, this was the first brow product I used. I used to use a cheapy pencil to make my eyebrows colored in, but I had no idea what I was doing in the brow department. I look at pictures now and I’m like “Girl, your brows, what the heck!” But this, this product is one of my favorites. It made an appearance in last years Spring Makeup Must Haves and it’s back again, because for what you get, this product is amaze. The brush is teeny tiny and the formula has tiny fibers in it to help build up sparse brows. It comes in Light/Medium and Medium/Dark and I have and use both. It’s just a good product and if you struggle with brows, this is a perfect product to start with.
This is a brand new product from Julep – a clear brow setting gel. I am not a huge fan of clear gel because it never stays clear long and then your tubes look gross even though they really aren’t. The silver tube alleviates that for me. Plus I love the tiny brush, so I can get to my brows without making a big mess on my skin. This is hands down my new favorite clear gel.
Fromm Eyebrow Razor – $5.29
Even though I work in a salon, and wax brows for a living, I still often neglect mine and forget to do it while I am at work. So between eyebrow waxings for myself, I use these little razors. They are great at keeping a nice line and shape, and cleaning up little fuzzies when I forget to wax my brows. They are also great at removing facial peach fuzz, but that’s another time and place.
This little kit is amazing for the price. I love the cream gel and the powder, but I hate the little brush, so if you want to use this (and if you order it online you have the choice of several colors – light, medium, dark and ash) I highly suggest grabbing a good brow brush, like the Small Angle and the Brow and Lash Spool from Sigma.
I did a complete review on this product back in October – I will say that while this pencil is not my favorite of all time, it’s a great one based on the fact that it’s universal – so if you’re one who changes hair color and style frequently, there is no need to buy another darker/lighter pencil every time. It also has a spool on one end and is slightly more affordable than other high quality pencils on the market.
Julep Don’t Leave Your Brows at Home – $13.99
This is my new favorite brow product of all time. The built in brush is fantastic, and the creamy powder is soft and blends beautifully. I love how small and compact it is, making a great option for tossing into a bag for any touchups throughout the day. It’s a brand new product, that launched last month, so I am still learning it when I use it, but so far so good and for the price, this product can’t be beat for a brow powder.
