You know me by now. I LOVE MAKEUP. It’s a sick obsession. But it makes me feel pretty, so I’ll allow it. Recently I decided to try ColourPop Cosmetics, I’ve seen them allllll over Instagram, heard about them in haul videos, tutorials, and from lots of other color obsessed makeup junkies. So I bit the bullet and ordered me some ColourPop.
First let me say that, when pretty much every product on the website is $5 (except for palettes, select products and collections) you go a little hog wild. I wanted to be on the safe side the first time, and just grab a few of each thing, in case I wasn’t as big of a fan as everyone else was online.
I grabbed 5 of their Super Shock Shadows, 2 Lippie Stix and 2 Pencils. (Again with the lip color obsession!). I got my package about a week after I ordered it – which isn’t super quick considering ColourPop is made about 150 miles north of here. But it wasn’t a long wait, and I didn’t need it for anything special.
When I got my package of makeup, I tore into it and grabbed my camera. I wanted to experience it all on film to share with you. I’ll start with the Super Shock Shadows because boy, oh boy, are these colors INSANE.
I grabbed L-R;
I Heart This – Silvery taupe with rainbow colored glitter.
So Quiche – An olivey brown with pink and gold shimmer.
La La – Shimmery metallic rose gold.
Get Lucky – Bright metallic gold.
Animal – Neon coral with gold glitter.
Here’s a close up of the swatches. My camera can not do them justice. NO PRIMER, just on my arm.
So creamy, so buttery, so pigmented, so amazing. I die. I love them. Check out the pics of them in their pots. Also! These are cream based, so they will not be depotted into my Z Palettes, and they need to be kept with their lids on tight so they don’t dry out!
Aren’t they so pretty!?? Ahh! The consistency of these shadows are so creamy, like really creamy… like a cream shadow, but it finishes soft, like a powder. It’s like NOTHING I’ve ever felt in a shadow. For real. I can’t even describe it correctly for you, they are just amazing. And I will be ordering more and more and more in the future (unless ColourPop wants to gift me some! Cuz I wouldn’t say no!) You will definitely need to use a finger or a short dense bristled brush to apply these – but I wore them without a primer and they stayed on ALL DAY with NO creasing.
Their lip products are really great as well – creamy and soft and SUPER pigmented.
