I’m obsessed with breakfast lately! Probably because I am getting sick of the regular old “Bacon and Eggs” that we seem to have every Sunday. And ever since my Fruity Pebbles Waffles post, I’ve been trying to utilize my Waffle Maker a lot more. If you don’t currently own a Waffle Maker, because you don’t believe you would use it enough, let me show you a cool new way to make cinnamon rolls and see if I can change your mind.
Seriously, this was the EASIEST way I’ve ever made cinnamon rolls ever – partly because I used canned premade rolls, but also partly because in the oven they take 20 minutes and in a waffle maker they take 5! It makes me want to stock up on cans of cinnamon rolls to have this awesome breakfast on hand for whatever might happen.
Pretty spiffy huh? I mean fresh cinnamon rolls in 5 minutes is the dream, isn’t it? And having something super fun for breakfast, something out of the ordinary and cool, well I am pretty sure that qualifies me for some sort of Mother of the Year award somewhere, right?
This is also a super fun way to make breakfast when camping! If you’re lucky enough to have a cast iron waffle maker, or electricity when GLAMping – hey I won’t judge… glamping > camping.
You literally only need 3 things to make these delicious things.
Canned Cinnamon Rolls, A waffle maker and non-stick spray. THAT’S IT! And YES! It’s easy! And it’s delicious and it’s fun! And YES – It really works!
And the look in your kids eyes when you serve them these, that’s pretty awesome too.
- 1 can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls (5 rolls)
- Non-stick cooking spray
- Waffle Iron
- Heat your waffle iron.
- When hot, spray generously with non-stick cooking spray.
- Open the canned cinnamon rolls and place one roll into each available waffle mold.
- Close the lid and press down firmly to help spread the dough into the molds.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes until steaming stops.
- Drizzle with included cinnamon roll icing and enjoy!
They would make a GREAT Mother’s Day breakfast for those of you out there that are not so kitchen confident – and it’s super easy that even if you forgot about serving mom breakfast, it’s nothing a 10 minute trip to the store couldn’t fix. Serve these up with some fresh fruit, a side of bacon and a mimosa and you’ll be her favorite.
