I have another Unboxing for you guys today! Yay! I love Unboxing Day! This box is actually pretty special, it’s the CAUSEBOX by Sevenly, a seasonal selection of socially conscious products for women, loaded with products that give back generously to underprivileged communities, help provide jobs and sustainable income in underdeveloped areas of the world, raise awareness for different charitable initiatives, empower and help people. It’s really a box that you can get behind and feel good about supporting.
Each box comes with over $150 worth of socially conscious, ethically made products. I had really no idea what to expect when I got my CAUSEBOX in the mail, but I was excited to open it up, do an unboxing for you guys and check out all the amazing things inside that make the world a better place. CAUSEBOX goes for $49.95/quarter, and like I said, over $150 worth of swag, and it’s really, really cool swag, as you’ll see in a sec.
$7 of every purchase is given back to charity for every box sold – and you can choose to support a specific charity through your subscription if you’d like, from several charity partners – if not, let Sevenly choose for you! With their very first box, the Sevenly team was able to donate $3,500 to the Jessie Rees Foundation which provides joy and hope for children who have been diagnosed with cancer. With just ONE box. Makes ya feel all warm and fuzzy huh?
OK OK OK, I know, on to the box – and see what your charitable subscription will get you!
I just have to quickly say, that I love all of these little touches the CAUSEBOX has. All the motivational sayings and phrases, it’s just really nice and special.
Ok, let’s dive in!
Denik “Be The Change” Journal – $17.99
So the first thing I pulled out of my box was this amazing journal. I am such a “journaler” – WHO KNEW!?? – and I have so many journals around the house for some many tasks I do – notes, party planning, blogging, practicing my hand lettering and doodling etc. And now this one. Which I love love love! This quote that’s on the front is really one of my favorites – Be the Change you Hope to see in the World, and I feel by supporting CAUSEBOX, I get to be the change a little bit.
How the product helps the world: A portion of every notebook that Denik sells goes toward funding schools in developing countries through foundations like Pencils of Promise.
“Good Day” Sevenly Cling – $9.95
I love this cute typographic window cling – it helps start us on a positive note everyday! It’s a fantastic reminder – check the hashtag #sevenlyseflie for shots of the cling in action!

Good Spread Peanut Butter & Honey Packet – $1.50
I love food, HELLO!, so having some deliciously tasty peanut butter in my CAUSEBOX was pretty rad. Abbey and I dove into the sample packet with a Granny Smith apple and enjoyed a nice afternoon snack. It was some of the best peanut butter I’ve ever had, creamy and sweetened with organic honey, we were licking the packet clean!
How the product helps change the world: What if the peanut butter you’re already eating helped feed malnourished kids? Every purchase of Good Spread Peanut Butter helps a child receive a packet of therapeutic food!
Half United “Fighting Hunger” Necklace – $34
This was my absolute favorite piece in the box. It’s edgy and fun, and makes me look super badass. The necklace incorporates 3 hand-polished, recycled bullet casings and takes a strong stance in the fight against hunger. The company’s mission is to use fashion to provide aid to world hunger. The designer and founder of the company explained that the necklace is symbolic of a movement away from violence in the direction of positive change. The necklace is made from recycled bullet casings — they are melted down to symbolize the end of something negative, while boldly representing action toward hunger relief. They are made in downtown LA. Plus it’s just a really cool piece!
How the product helps change the world: Half United dontates 50% of their total profits directly to global hunger relief efforts.
Smarty Pants Vitamin Travel Packs – $4.25
These little gummies are delicious! I really liked them, tart and citrusy, and not at all vitamin tasting, which is what I look for in vitamins. They have many different kinds of vitamins, with added fiber, or even kids vitamins. And these travel packs are really convenient! Plus they are made here in the US, in California!
How the product helps change the world: Smarty Parts partners with the Vitamin Angels to give vitamins to children in need for every bottle of vitamins they sell! They have helped over 500,000 at-risk children!
Tribe Alive Bracelet – $35
This bracelet is really cool! I love how simple it is, and yet at the same time so beautiful. This bracelet is a Sevenly exclusive, helped design by Sevenly! They are made by women in Honduras under fair trade working conditions. I love the detail on this bracelet, and I will be wearing it a lot this spring.
How the product helps change the world: Each piece contributes to community development and job creation in developing countries. This collaboration bracelet alone helped Tribe-Alive provide 20 jobs for women in Honduras!
Perf Turkish Towel – $55
This towel is soooooo cool. It makes a fantastic throw, a pretty spring shawl, a picnic blanket or even a towel to lay on at the pool or beach! It’s this beautifully woven blue and white towel – super absorbent and fast drying! Plus it rolls up flat, so you can tuck it into your bag without sacrificing space like other towels.
How the product helps change the world: Flat Woven in Turkey, Perf gives 15% of profits to community development projects in Haiti.
I also got a pack of Sevenly stickers! Which is valued at $7. I’ve got one on my laptop right now that says “Live with Purpose” – and I like that a lot. (not included in the normal box)
Total box value : $157.69
This box is really an amazing purchase – I love having fun, and unique pieces in my wardrobe to add to my collection – and I love subscription boxes! If you’re interested in checking out the CAUSEBOX website and signing up for a box (The Spring Box is almost SOLD OUT!) head over to their website! Just do me a favor and click on over, even if you don’t wanna buy anything… check out an amazing company that’s doing it right.
