Y’all know me! Trying makeup is the best thing ever. I love it! I can’t say no to it! I jump at the chance to try any kind of makeup, because you really never know when you’ll find that one amazing gem in the bathroom drawer full of duds. And brow products? Don’t even get me started! Big, bold brows have made such a comeback the last year, and I myself am SO GLAD for it, because friends don’t let friend have bad brows!
Here’s the thing, eyebrows can be hard to do. Like really hard. I know this because it is the NUMBER ONE thing people ask me about when we talk makeup. That and then mascara is number two. But BROWS, always come up. Mostly “How do you do your brows?”, “What products do you use?” and ALWAYS “What’s the easiest product for doing brows?” I think mainly that last question comes up because NO ONE HAS THE KIND OF TIME TO SPEND that you need for AMAZING BROWS.
Those girls on Instagram that swear up and down their photos aren’t edited?
Spoiler alert – they are.
But they spend upwards of 10 minutes making their brown #onpoint or #onfleek or whatever the heck the newest hashtag is for fancy looking brows. Wanna know a secret? Eyebrows are SISTERS and not TWINS and this is a point I like to make because I feel very strongly about it.
So any sort of brow product that takes my brow routine down from 10 minutes to 2, is all kinds of fine in my book!
I’ve been using this brow tint for the last couple months. I wanted to make sure I really tried it out and knew what I was talking about before I even attempted to review it because, once again, brows are sometimes I deal with a lot. And I love having nice brows that look natural – with a bit of waxing and shaping, and an easy product to keep them looking on point.
So LashEM sent me their LashEM Color Strokes Brow Tint to try. They wanted to know what I thought about it, and I can very clearly state that I very much enjoy this brow product. I have a very pros and cons and I’ll get to that in a sec, but just as a blanket statement, hands down, I give this product a thumbs up and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy brow solution.
It comes in a tube with a brush type wand, very similar to mascara and you brush the tinted cream onto your eyebrows to not only set them into place, but also tint them and fill in the sparse spots. It is a great simple and quick brow product, as well as a great product to go with other brow products.
The pros I found are pretty basic, but I liked this product for these reasons. It fills in the bald spots, and colors them nicely. So those wanting to go darker or lighter, there is definitely enough pigment in this product to get the job done. It also is great for filling in the shape I make with my brow pencil, and the color is very flattering for me. It’s flake proof, smudge proof and paraben free.
The cons is that personally I do not like the “crunchy” feeling I get when the LashEM Color Strokes Brow Tint dries – which is also why I do not prefer to use setting gels. I just touch my brows too much for that to work for me. But it does set it very nicely and it stays all day. Another con for me is that using it on the tail end of my brow can get a bit messy and I tend to need to clean it up with concealer or cotton swaps, not a huge deal, but something I noticed. I think if the wand was smaller, it would be easier to fine tune your brows with it.
If you would like to try LashEM Color Strokes Brow Tint, you can find it here. It runs $20 and a tube will last you around 3-6 months depending on how often you use it. It comes in 2 shades, blonde, brunette and raven. I use the brunette shade.
