Well, it’s been a good while since I posted on the blog. An entire week to be exact, and seriously I have been so insanely busy with my real life outside of blogging that I haven’t really even had a chance to sit down and do anything Mommy Like Whoa related. It’s just been a whirlwind of things, and you know I am not one to shy away from being open and honest, and since I just love every single one of my readers and followers, I thought I should give you an update with everything that has been going on around here…
I know my word for 2015 is FLOURISH, but lately my life has been anything but flourishing. I know it’s just a slump, and I am not one to complain or ask for sympathy, but life has just been HARD, y’all! It’s been busy, and taxing, and it has TESTED me every minute.
For the past few months I have been having some random attacks in the middle of the night. I toss and turn until I wake up, usually around 3am… then intense pain on the left side, followed by vomiting and more pain. Nothing but Tylenol PM helps to get me back to sleep. Finally after the 3rd attack and the insistence of my husband, I called the doctor and made an appointment. I went in Thursday to talk to her, and had some blood drawn for lab work. She thinks it’s either my liver, my pancreas (which worries me for more than one reason) or my gallbladder (which I believe to be the case). All of these freak me out. I have NEVER had any sort of health issue or surgery so it’s sort of all up in the air as to what it might be. I will have an ultrasound to rule out possibilities as well.
Then, last Sunday, Abbey and I were in a car accident! AYE! For real though, can a girl catch a break? We are totally fine, no injuries save for some major car repair work, but nothing is broken except my quarter panel and bumper. We were backed into while we waited for a parking spot at Target (way to ruin a perfectly good shopping trip!). My car is at Fix Auto getting all fixed up and I am driving around in a cushy rental until Tuesday at the earliest. Thank goodness for good insurance and honest people, because the girl who hit me took responsibility and claimed 100% at fault. I am just happy no one was hurt.
Currently I am sitting here printing out baby shower games and signs for my sisters baby shower tomorrow. It’s been a long journey of getting everything ready and tomorrow is finally the day! I am charging my camera battery, so I can be sure to take LOTS and LOTS of photos to share all our hard work with all of you! I am so excited to share the cute printables I made for it, and all the fun decor and food we did. But, that’s another post entirely.
SoFab on the Road LA is coming up at the end of the week, and I am super excited for that as well – so something to look forward to in all this mess that happens to be called life. I will try and FLOURISH as best as I can, no matter what my be thrown at me. I am very glad for my husband who has been super supportive and helpful with the entire car thing and even took the day off to help me get my rental handled and make sure the car was taken care of properly at the auto shop. He’s a wonderful man and I really appreciate him and the way he shows his love for me.
So I think you’re all caught up with why I’ve been gone for the entire week! I know it’s still an excuse, but at least it’s a valid one! I’ve got a lot of fun stuff for you next week – Super Bowl treats, and baby shower reveals! I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I’ll see you all next week!
