Many thanks to Huggies for sponsoring today’s post, and inspiring me to stay stylish on the go!
Summer has taken the wind out of my sails. It’s only the beginning of July, but we’ve already been so busy I can’t keep up. Thank goodness we’re potty trained, or else we’d be up a creek adding that to our plate.
So far this summer we’ve been to the fair 4 times (that’s right, FOUR) seen 2 concerts, have tackled the problem of pool safety with swim lessons every Monday afternoon, and have had numerous family BBQ’s and parties.
Not to mention the HUGE family trip to Disneyland we’re planning and my husband getting a new job last week. It’s just a lot to take in so early in the season.
Usually I am one of those mom’s who tends to stay close to home, but lately I’ve been packing the bag for the entire day, with everything I think I might need for anything that might happen, accident or not. We’ve got sunscreen, and changes of clothes. Bags for the wet stuff, whether from the pool or out of our control, and always snacks for hungry ones to keep up out of the drive thrus if we can help it. Maybe you’ve already seen my bag of summer essentials, but as the summer had crept along, I’ve found some better solutions to a few of my old favorites.
Wet wipes are mainly the issue because now that Abbey is in big girl panties full time, we need something that will clean up her sticky fingers and also are safe to wipe with as well. The things they forget to tell you in “Parenting 101”. And if I am going to be the one to have to wipe, I want to make sure that what I am using is STRONG and RELIABLE. Yaknowhatimsayin???
So I have solved my issue with the new Clutch ‘n’ Clean wipes from Huggies. Because they are cute, and they work and they contain the brand that I already use and love and trust. Here’s a peek inside our swim bag, since we’ll be using it a lot now that the San Diego weather is in the 90’s! Ack!
Sunscreen, Beach Towel, Huggies wipes, goggles, swimsuit, all in an easy and cute bag!
I used to carry the Huggies wipes that were just the one time use, and they just aren’t as cute and functional as this is. I love that it’s reusable, and that I can pick one that fits my style sense! Being a mom doesn’t have to mean frumpy!
And here’s Abbey in her bikini, drying off in the sun after her swim lesson. Don’t forget the sunscreen!
What are some of your summer “On-The-Go” bag essentials?
