When I was a kid, I could not wait for summer. School was out, the weather was warm, and it meant lots of play time in the neighborhood. We would leave the house each morning, and only return inside for bathroom breaks and snacks. Outside was our friend.
We all had bikes and scooters and we spent all day on them, riding from house to house, hanging out with all of our friends. It was one of the best parts of being a kid.
So because I think having outside play is so important, and not only gets them out of the house for 10 minutes, but it builds character and gives them great experiences and memories, I want to introduce you to Abbey’s new ride.
The Kixi Razor Jr Zombie Kix Scooter. Pretty sweet huh? I love this little scooter because it’s perfect for little people.
The foot base is much wider so little feet can fit on it very easily, and the big zombie hands on the handlebars teach her the proper way to hold on and steer the scooter. The 3 wheel design allows a lot of stability for her as well. She’s still learning how to steer, right now she just stops, and picks up the scooter (it’s super lightweight!) to move it in the next direction she wishes to go. Funny kid.
The zombie kit itself, to me, is really funny and also really awesome! The big hands crack me up, and for some reason my kid thinks zombies are like the coolest thing ever. Thanks pop culture! If the Zombie Apocalypse ever happens, at least my kid will know how to ride a zombie.
She’s named her scooter “Stinky” which is very apropos. He looks like just like what I expect a Stinky to look like.
I love that these little scooters are around, she’s tried very unsuccessfully I might add, to ride her big sister’s scooter and it was a nightmare. This one took her about an hour to get the hang of, and when it’s not being ridden outside, it’s being ridden up and down the hallway as a means of transportation to travel 30 feet.
A great item to have, and a must have toy for this summer for the little ones!
The Razor Jr Zombie Kix Scooter is for ages 3+ and holds up to 45lbs. Parents! You can learn all about the safety guidelines here.
Don’t attack me about lack of shoes and helmet… we were just having a little photo shoot before dinner while the light was still nice outside!
