This post is lovingly sponsored by Whole Foods Market. All excited fan-girling, drooling and opinions are my own!
A couple weeks ago, I was invited to a really fun blogger event at Whole Foods Market. Have I mentioned lately that I love my job? Seriously, it’s great. Aside from the events and swag, sometimes I am just excited to try new things I never knew existed.
Now, I’ve been to Whole Foods before, in fact, before kids and husbands I shopped there almost exclusively. I love how fancy I feel when I shop in that beautiful store. Now I use Whole Foods to find the hard to locate specialty items, like turmeric root and fancy vegetables no one in my family has ever heard of. I had NO IDEA what an extensive beauty section there had, and how amazing it is.
You know how much I preach about natural beauty, and how much I adore a beautiful product that actually does what it says it will. I cannot even stress enough how amazing their beauty and wellness department is! Just fantastic! Natural stuff, vegan items, mineral options, the whole shebang.
In fact, did you know that Whole Foods has an insanely strict list of items that aren’t allowed in the products they carry in their store? It’s not just limited to the items that we put IN our bodies, but the ones we slather on the outside as well.
We got a chance to meet with some of the leading brands, ask them all sorts of questions, get valuable information and even some pretty sweet samples.
I’m not gonna lie, when I got home with my bag of goodies, I totally dumped it right out on the living room floor, like some sort of grownup modern trick or treater, reveling in my pretties. Here are some of my favorites…
Evan Healy Face Care Kit – Rose $29.95
Seriously beautiful skin care that smells like heaven and makes my skin feel super happy. This kit is fantastic, because it allows you the chance to give each of these products the good old college try, or at least that’s the case at the college I went to! This line includes gorgeous clay masks, hydrosols, oils and milks that will leave you definitely wanting more.
Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes – Pink Grapefruit $6
Such a classic. I HATE washing my face at the sink. It’s either shower, or nothing, so these little wipes come in handy for me. I keep them near me at all times, because going to bed with makeup on is a HUGE no no, and I am super lazy after 8pm.
Aura Cacia Organic Chakra Roll On – Insightful Third Eye $15.99
My absolute favorite brand of Essential Oils is Aura Cacia! I own so many, and use them for everything! From natural scents in my baths, to fragrance in my hand scrubs, this is my go to brand. When I got a chance to talk to a rep from the company, I got a lot of my essential oil questions answered! Huzzah! He slipped me one of these to try (their new roll on blends) – the Insightful Third Eye, to help with concentration and balance with Rosemary and Lavender, to help me focus when I need a natural boost.
Dr. Bronners Liquid Castille Soap – Lavender 16 oz $10.99
Before this event, I thought Dr. Bronner’s was just another brand of soap. Then I met their VP and he showed me the way. This brand is so inspiring, so thoughful, so helpful, I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. Plus, the scent is heavenly, and it cleans pretty much anything I throw at it. I love to use it as a body wash when I am stressed out and the calming lavender helps me relax.
Mineral Fusion Mini Nail Kits – Radiant Orchid $10.99
Pantone’s color of the year for 2014 is Radiant Orchid (that lovely purple shade above), the name sake for this adorable collection of mini polishes. I am a polish addict. I own so many bottles of lacquer is become an episode of Horders. Mineral Fusion polishes are “7-FREE” meaning they are free of the 7 different harmful chemicals found in most polishes, so they are much better options for your body. Plus the colors are gorgeous!
