The next 2 weeks here at Mommy Like Whoa, are all about Mother’s Day! Gifts, tips, ideas, DIY’s and lots of GIVEAWAYS! YAY!
My first Mother’s Day gift idea is perfect for the FOODIE MOM! The Zoku Quick Pop Maker!
(I wish I had one to giveaway!)
I got a Zoku Popsicle maker as a wedding gift, from an AMAZING client of mine and her daughter. I love this thing! I can not rave about it enough! We love it so much, we make Popsicle for everything! If it will freeze, chances are we’ve made pops out of it.
Another thing is I love hazelnuts, and anything chocolate hazelnut even more. I should have bought stock in Nutella, because man oh man, that stuff is like gold over here. We’ve made Nutella pops in our Zoku before, and they came out amazing, so when I saw the new JIF line of hazelnut spreads, I knew I had to try them.
I love anything Salted Caramel. Seriously. If it’s Salted Caramel, I will buy it.
So when I saw this, I knew it was a match made in delicious heaven.
Yeah, this is a thing.
It’s like two of my favorite indulgences had a dirty tryst, and this is the delicious love child of the result. Yum! Clearly, I had to make some pops with this!
I wanted to make it healthier, so I only used 1 heaping tablespoon of the JIF, and instead of using milk, I used Vanilla Almond milk! Plus it gave it a nice flavor, and added some awesome protein.
So I added a bit of milk into the Zoku’s container, and mixed the Hazelnut spread until it was nice and incorporated. Then I added more almond milk until it came up to the “3” line, since I was making 3 pops. The awesome thing about the Zoku, is it freezes pops almost instantly! In fact, in under 7 minutes you can have a full frozen Popsicle, ready to eat!
Give the mixture one more quick stir and pour it into your Popsicle molds. If you’re using regular pop molds, add the mixture, place the sticks and let them freeze for a few hours. If you don’t have a pop mold, you can use dixie cups and Popsicle sticks, or even paper straws! Anything can become a pop mold! Even an ice cube tray and toothpicks!
With the Zoku, make sure you place your sticks first, and then fill to the line, and no more or else it can make it tricky to remove later.
Freeze your pops until frozen, remove and enjoy!
How yummy is that! My pops were in the Zoku for about 5 minutes, but I returned them to the freezer for extra coldness.
See how cold it is! They are frozen solid! I love this thing! My kids love it too because we love to make breakfast Popsicle, and healthy ones using fresh fruit and juices! Plus it’s totally customizable!
Do you have a Zoku? It’s an excellent Mother’s Day gift for the Foodie Mom! Don’t forget to grab the Zoku Quick Pop Tools too!
