Can I just say how amazing the Oscars were last night?! The beautiful women! Those handsome men in suits? Way to go Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto! You guys looked fantastic! I hope you were live tweeting with me, because we had a pretty good time!
Every time I watch the Oscars, it makes me wish I was super fancy! I absolutely loved all the dresses and jewelry! Charlize Theron’s necklace was stunning! Old Hollywood Glamour wins me over, every time. The Etsy shop Gold Adore understands Vintage Glamour better than most. Her store is filled with amazing vintage and antique pieces that will literally make your jaw drop to the floor.
The Rose Group, a wonderful Brand Relations Agency, asked me to check out her store and give my feedback on some of my favorite pieces, to coincide with the 86th Academy Awards. All the opinions below are mine alone.
The owner of Gold Adore, Gillian Alexander, has been a GIA certified Gemologist since 2001. Her shop is filled with antique and vintage finds, as well as custom designed pieces. Below are some of my favorite pieces in her shop. Her finds are literally mouth watering.

Right handed rings are very stylish right now and last night was definitely an evening of cocktail rings. I saw the big baubles decorating everyone’s fingers. This gold and sapphire piece is stylish and a beautiful addition to anyone’s wardrobe. I can’t get over how many beautiful antique and one of a kind rings Gillian has in her store.
Simple vintage filigree ring. This piece would make a fantastic middle finger ring, or a perfect alternate style engagement ring.
Gorgeous diamond cluster, cocktail ring! I can’t get over how beautiful this ring is. It reminds me of all the cluster earrings I saw in all the stars ears last night.
Beautiful Tourmaline with pave infinity band. Colored gems are very big right now for engagement rings. I have several friends who opted for colored center stones for their rings.
Vintage Smokey Quartz cocktail ring, I absolutely love the color of this gem. It’s gorgeous!
Adorable diamond heart shaped engagement ring, with pave halo and infinity band. This, for some reason reminds me of the Oscar winning animated film, Frozen. Icy cold diamond heart, for an ice queen with a secret? Hmmm
It seemed like almost everyone was wearing diamond chandelier earrings last night! I loved seeing all the beautiful earrings dipping below those chic hair styles! These fantastically gorgeous vintage earrings are a similar and much more affordable version of the amazing ones Best Actress Winner, Cate Blanchett wore. Plus, who can get away with wearing earrings as big as hers? These are much more doable!
This pair is very art deco, and reminds me of The Great Gatsby, which won an Oscar for Best Costume Design. I think Daisy would have worn these to a Jay Gatsby party.
Hello JLaw! She’s my make believe fantasy best friend, because I think her and I would just “get” each other. Poor thing can’t seem to stay on her feet these days. These earrings remind me of her because they look like little Mocking Jays!
Deep plunging necklines, decolletage draped with necklaces graced the Red Carpet. The bib statement necklaces were all over. This antique diamond necklace, is the epitome of Old Hollywood Glam. I wish I had Red Carpet event to go to, because this piece is amazing.
A bold Sapphire pendant, with a diamond pave halo accent, is reminiscent of vintage glam. Very similar to the necklace worn by Frozen song writer and Oscar winner of best song, Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
Again with The Great Gatsby! This piece in her collection reminded me a lot of the style of the film. It looks like a locket Daisy would wear on an afternoon drive, with it’s intricate engraving.
Best Actress Oscar Winner Lupita Nyong’o looked gorgeous in that powder blue deep v-neck Prada gown. I couldn’t get over her adorable headband and beautiful gold snake bangle on her wrist. If you loved it too, this gold vintage bangle is a perfect daily bauble for you, and it’s affordable too! Check out this Snake Ring that matches Lupita’s Oscar bracelet perfectly!
The Oscar for most amazing vintage bracelet, is this one. With over 17 carats of white, yellow and pink diamonds, and yellow and white gold, it certainly is the most stunning piece on this list. If I had cash to burn, I would snatch this one of a kind masterpiece up, right quick.
I really enjoyed looking through her collection of amazing antique and vintage jewelry and picking out my picks for Oscar worthy style. I even have my eyes on a wedding band (still waiting on mine…) that works with my engagement ring perfectly! And it’s totally affordable!
Gillian is constantly updating her collection, so if you like vintage jewels, make sure you favorite her shop and check back often for new one of a kind pieces!
