Coffee is not enough on Sunday morning with a toddler who is refusing to potty train (or sort of go backwards in the process). The thing is, she just doesn’t care. So I’ve been mopping up pee this morning! Welcome to motherhood folks! This is the sort of stuff they forget to tell you when they say “Have kids! It will be fun!”. Along with the hilarious one liners, sweet kisses and “I love you so much mommy”‘s coming the mopping up of pee, on your kitchen floor, after you step in it first.
So I am enjoying some of my new Starbucks Veranda Blonde Roast, I thought I would need something a little darker (ie, STRONGER), but it’s doing nicely.
This week I saw a lot of wonderfully great Spring themed stuff! So that’s sort of where I am going with this post…. Spring-ish.
DIY Polka Dots Pants by Put a Bird on it
Daniela does it again! What a cute and easy way to transform a pair of jeans (or any pants really!) for a fresh look for spring! I totally love this little DIY and her tips on creating her own fabric paint! Genius!
DIY Planner by DIY Mama
Such cute tips and tricks to making yourself an adorable planner for spring. I am obsessed right now with Spring Cleaning everything. My house, my family, my closet, my marriage. My planner is getting an overhaul this week.
Sourdough Starter by The (mis)Adventures of a Born Again Farm Girl
Such a cool post! I had no idea you could “catch” wild yeast! I am definitely going to be trying this very soon and learning how to make my own sourdough starter! I love sourdough bread so I am very interested to see if I can do this or not! Seems easy enough, stay tuned because I am sure I will be sharing it here soon.
The Importance of Love Letters from Twist and Sprinkle
This post really sparked my attention because it’s sort of just what we needed. Last night we had a big “argument” (that a nice word for fight) about “being happy” and keeping the love in our marriage a priority. Married people have those sometimes, especially married people with children. We decided that we are going to start writing each other love letters once a week to show each other how much we care. I’m excited to start our little project and will make sure I keep y’all updated on the progress as well.
Spring Salad by Five Heart Home
Oh the spring salad, how I love thee. This salad looks fantastic and is a perfect recipe for my 30 Day Salad Swap I’m starting for April. I love all the fresh berries, and those candied almonds look super yummy! I can’t wait to try this salad!
Carrot Cake Sandwich Cookies by Five Heart Home
I love, love, love whoopie pies, but I love carrot cake more! I am always looking for delicious and “different” things to bring to family gatherings, and this might just be the perfect one to take to Easter! How delicious do these look??
Tuxedo Creme Brulee by A Dash of Sanity
Sweet Baby! Oh my, this looks like quite possibly the most beautiful thing ever. Creme Brulee is one of my FAVORITE desserts, but I’ve never actually tried to make it. Maybe it’s time I broke out my torch and ramekins and attempted it. Perhaps a fancy stay in date night with no kids is in my future.
Fun DIY Easter Wall Art by Delightfully Noted
I just loved this so much. It’s cheeky and funny and totally cute for Easter. I am inspired to make my own! We need more Easter friendly decor around here!
